About this Event
Cozy into fall with a warm and inviting baking class centered around old-fashioned kitchen skills, freshly milled grains, and seasonal flavors. In this one-hour class, you’ll learn how to make cultured butter and discover why the culturing process creates a richer, more complex flavor.
You’ll also enjoy a demonstration of tender scones made with fresh-milled flour while learning about soft wheat, einkorn, and hard red wheat, including when and how to use each variety. We’ll cover the basics of milling your own grain and offer simple tips for baking successfully with fresh flour.
To bring in the flavors of the season, you’ll blend your own signature Cozy Fall Spice and learn creative ways to use it in baked goods, warm drinks, oatmeal, squash, butter, and more. Each guest will take home a jar of Cozy Fall Spice and enjoy a tasting of warm fresh-milled scones served with cultured and spiced butter.
Come enjoy a cozy hour at the farm while learning simple skills you can bring into your own kitchen all season long.
