College of Wizardry is the largest immersive magic school in the world. Study magic and make life-long friendships, at all inclusive overnight stay at a real castle. Tickets coming soon!Our castle is a place of magic, and for centuries the students have grown used to the advice and guidance of their house ghosts, those spirits with an affinity to the castle that causes them to linger, to help and guide the youngsters (and their mentors) in life and study at Czocha.
But lately, these friends have begun to grow agitated, warning the students that something is approaching, some time of turmoil and of strife. Something that, they believe, might threaten their very presence at the castle. The nature of this menace is unknown, the form it might take obscured, but it’s enough to shake the spirits to their core.
And so approaches All Hallows Eve, that night when the veil between the world of the living and of the dead is thinnest, and the ghosts have appealed to their living comrades for help… what is coming, and how it might be dealt with, no one knows, but one thing is certain, when the Ghosts of Czocha cry out, it’s a foolish member of staff or student that refuses to listen.
Themes & Feel
To create a cohesive and enjoyable larp for you all to join together in, we have laid out some core themes to reflect our intent for the game. These are intended to be guidance to help players and organisers alike pull in the same direction with our collaborative play and stories.
The veil thins.
Our game takes place over Halloween both off-game and in-game and we intend to take the opportunity to evoke a spooky feel to the story and setting. We are not aiming for a horror larp, rather we hope to evoke uneasiness, other-worldiness and a sense of the unknown, which may frighten, but will rarely directly horrify.
What lies beyond?
Death is a source of fear for our characters, but also a great unknown. Ghosts of Czocha will enable those characters who wish to explore what comes after life for Witchards, and how that might manifest.
Carpe Diem.
With all the musing on mortality, we hope that our characters will take time to reflect on the joys of life, and celebrate the opportunities that each new day brings and the meaning in their relations with one another.
