A Coursing Ability Test (CAT) is a beginner-friendly, non-competitive dog sport where a dog chases an artificial lure across an open field to test its natural hunting and tracking instincts. All AKC-registered dogs, including Canine Partners and PALs, can participate (if physically sound). There is a shorter course for veteran dogs 7 years or older. You can earn your first title after just 3 successful runs, and we will have 4 in one weekend!
