About this Event
Start getting in the Valentine's Day spirit with our heart tarts! Student will work in pairs in this three-hour class to learn how to make fruit and lemon tarts all encased in a rich, buttery pâte sucree crust. The fruit tart is filled with a silky crème pâtissière and topped with a colorful seasonal fruit. The lemon tart has a zingy, lemon curd filling topped with decorations of your choice.
What we’ll make:
• Pâte sucree for both tartlets
• Crème pâtissière for fruit tartlet
• Lemon curd for lemon tartlet
Techniques you’ll learn:
• Mixing, rolling, cutting, blind baking pâte sucree crust
• Mixing, tempering, cooking crème pâtissière
• Finishing touches for fruit tarts/tartlets
• Mixing, tempering, cooking lemon curd
• Filling lemon tarts and baking, decorating
