Country Music Night at the Astra Theatre
Get ready for a night of Kentucky and Southern Indiana country music at the historic Astra Theatre, featuring Cody Ikerd & The Sidewinders, Yellow Banks, and Scott Lindsey. From high-energy country-rock and outlaw country to western swing and accomplished Nashville songwriting, this lineup brings together three distinctive acts for one night on the Astra stage.
Cody Ikerd & The Sidewinders are a high-energy country-rock band from Southern Indiana who have spent more than a decade performing throughout the Midwest and South. Their live show blends country roots with a hard-driving rock edge. Cody Ikerd was named 2024 Josie Music Awards “Vocalist of the Year – Outlaw Country,” followed by the band earning “Group of the Year” in 2025, establishing them as one of the region's standout independent country acts.
Yellow Banks, from Owensboro, Kentucky, brings its own unmistakable sound to the evening. Featuring James Elliott, Tristan Howard, Bean Boyer, Scott Ethridge, Aaron Ray, Joshua Orion and Rasta, the group draws from traditional country, western swing and rockabilly while adding touches of funk and psychedelia. Hard-hitting lyrics, pounding rhythms, soulful guitars, and strong chemistry give Yellow Banks an energetic live sound that respects country tradition without being confined by it.
The group quickly began taking its music beyond Owensboro, performing throughout Kentucky and Tennessee while developing its own original material. That creative drive led to a full-length album built around the raw, genuine sound and diverse musical influences that define Yellow Banks.
Rounding out the bill is Kentucky-raised singer-songwriter Scott Lindsey, whose career connects the evening to Nashville's songwriting tradition. Lindsey studied music at Belmont University, and his debut solo single, “You Only Call Me (When You're Drunk),” spent 10 weeks in the Top 40. He later joined The Nashvillains before returning to his solo career.
Lindsey's songwriting credits include songs recorded by Kevin Costner & Modern West, Black Stone Cherry, The Bellamy Brothers, and Kalsey Kulyk, while his music has also been featured on television, including Yellowstone and Monarch.
