Every Thursday night, Cornerstone Music Café turns into a jam room! Grab dinner and a drink, bring your instrument (or just your ears), and join a community of musicians and music lovers. Here’s what’s happening each week:1st Thursday: Pro Jazz Jam
Play your favourite standards with our house band: Jim Johnston (drums), Emile Leger (guitar) and host David Lavoie (upright bass). Players and singers who know the jazz idiom get priority, but everyone is welcome.
2nd Thursday: Start & Stop Jazz Jam (Beginner Friendly)
New to jamming? This is your night. Try it once, then try it again, in a relaxed, no-judgement zone. Sit in or just come enjoy the hang.
3rd Thursday: Teacher Feature & Jazz Jam
One of our studio teachers joins the house band, and their students take the stage for the opening set! The Pro Jam follows.
4th Thursday: Open Mic with Linden Conroy
Musicians, poets, comedians and performers of every kind are welcome. It’s a supportive stage for sharing your talent with an appreciative crowd.
5th Thursday: Curated Jazz Jam
In months with a fifth Thursday, David builds a one-of-a-kind house band from past jammers. Come see what’s new!
Full café menu, coffee and drinks are available all evening.
