She has been preserving for 15 years, has written 4 best-selling cookbooks, and has won awards for her range of preserves. She is determined to show cooks why preserving is so important in busy modern kitchens, how to use preserving not only to make delicious homemade condiments but also as an important tool to reduce food waste at home.

In Cornersmith's Guide to Salad Making, Alex will show you how to make salads worth bringing to the centre of the table all year round. We will begin with the fundamentals of seasonal eating and give you three interchangeable master seasonal recipes for slaws, leafy greens and hearty salads that make a complete meal.

- Prepare a quick pickle, veratile dressing and a crunchy seeded salad topper
- Taste the dishes prepared throughout the class and learn how to adapt them at home
- At the end of the class, participants are invited to graze on a curated selection of cheese and accompaniments before heading downstairs to shop

This is a hands-on and demonstration class, so bring your questions, roll your sleeves up and get your tastebuds ready!
