Join an ongoing effort at Cornell Wetlands to restore native ecology and contribute to a beautiful and biodiverse ecosystem on the Jordan River! Over the last few years, volunteers and SLC Public Lands have banded together to put in hundreds of hours to restore these gorgeous wetlands, and each year we get to build upon the hard work of previous years. Come see how far this project has come and contribute to the effort! Over the week, we will be planting thousands of native perennials, removing weeds, and completing other important tasks to help contribute to a healthier wetland ecosystem, all while working amongst the gorgeous native plantings that have matured over the years. With 7+ sessions available to the public, you can choose the day and time that work best for you (please see sign-up calendar below). It's not often that we get to see so clearly the massive impact that years of volunteering can have on a space/community; don't miss your chance to be a part of this special opportunity to contribute to this project! Bring comfy work clothes, closed-toe shoes, water, and sun protection; we will provide all necessary tools.
