Some things were never yours to carry.Samhain marks the turning of the year, when the harvest ends and the dark half begins. The time when the veil between worlds runs thinnest, a time to honor the dead, let the fires burn low, and leave behind what would not survive the winter.
Witches have long worked with cord and knot, binding intention into thread and untying what no longer serves. Cutting a cord is the other half of that magick, a severing of the ties that drain you, whether they're old grief, old stories, or people and patterns that still hold you back.
On the night before Samhain, we'll gather by candlelight to do just that. Come cut the cords that were never yours to bear, and let what's released make room for who you're becoming.
