Coralville residents with city trash/recycling service can throw away eligible trash item(s) too big to fit in their trash cart.Restrictions:
⚠️ Must belong in the trash.
⚠️ Cannot be donated or reused.
⚠️ Must be able to be lifted by two people.
⚠️ Must fit in the garbage truck.
🚫 See www.coralville.org/cleanup for restrictions before putting an item at the curb. Items not accepted include, but are not limited to: appliances, electronics (things that plug in, are wired in, or rechargeable), cardboard, wood, construction materials, or loose items on the ground.
Example of acceptable items: a broken side table or a rusted deck chair.
Mayor's Clean Up Week Tips:
👉 For places to donate items, see www.coralville.org/cleanup.
👉 Space is limited.
👉 Put eligible trash item(s) at the curb up to 24 hours before or by 7:00 am on your trash day.
👉 If you have an extra bag of garbage during Mayor's Clean Up Week, tag it and put it on top of your closed cart lid.
👉 Metal is picked up by a separate truck; metal pickup day may vary.
