About this Event
WATER’S SOUL SPEAKS: Immersive Poetry & Open Mic Event!
Come join us for an afternoon of soul-stirring immersive poetry and open mic performances at SAINT PETER'S UNIVERSITY : 920 Montgomery St., Jersey City, NJ. Dive into a world of words as we celebrate the beauty and power of water through the art of spoken word, inspired by the iconic statue that resides on the Hudson River Waterfront, "WATER'S SOUL" by Juame Plensa (2020), as a part of JCAST: The Jersey City Arts & Studio Tour.
Whether you're a seasoned poet or a first-time performer, this event is open to all who want to share their voice and connect with the community. Readers have the option of performing their own work, or reading the work of one of the poets who submitted their work to the project. Open mic sign-up begins at 12:45pm, so please arrive early if you wish to secure a reading spot.
Let the waters of creativity flow as we come together to listen, speak, and be inspired. Don't miss this chance to let your soul speak through the magic of poetry!
