About this Event
Inside-Out- what happens when you bring prisoners (inside students) and university students (outside students) together to study and learn in a Pr*son classroom?
For over ten years, Dr Kate O'Brien has been helping make that happen through the Inside-Out Pr*son Exchange Programme, teaching inside prisons across the North East and exploring the impact that education can have on people's lives.
At this Curious Social, Kate will take us behind the Pr*son walls to share stories, experiences and insights from a programme that challenges assumptions and changes perspectives on both sides of the classroom door.
This promises to be a thought-provoking evening about education, opportunity and what we can learn when we step outside our usual worlds.
