Get ready for a cinematic culinary journey. The Journey Club is inviting you back to our Dinner Club, Taste-the-Movies edition, and we’re once again projecting with a Halloween cult classic.
Forget the popcorn and the folding seats—this is a sophisticated, multisensory event hosted in our beautiful community private lounge, transformed for one night into a high-end supper club.
The Feature Film: Hocus Pocus
Hocus Pocus (1993) is a dark fantasy comedy centered on the Sanderson Sisters; three 17th-century witches executed during the Salem witch trials.
The Plot at a Glance
On Halloween night in Salem, Massachusetts, a skeptical teenager named Max accidentally lights the Black Flame Candle, resurrecting the legendary trio after 300 years. To remain immortal and stay on Earth past sunrise, the witches must drain the life force from Salem's children before dawn. Max, his younger sister Dani, his crush Allison, and Thackery Binx (an immortal talking black cat cursed by the witches in 1693) team up to steal Winifred's spellbook and stop the sisters before time runs out.
It is a blend of campy humor, spooky Halloween tropes, iconic musical performances, and 1990s nostalgia.
