Melodista death metal -paahtoa vuodesta 1989 tuutannut Dark Tranquillity on julkaissut mittavalla urallaan lukuisia genrensä klassikoita ja kiertänyt väsymättä maailmaa käännyttämässä ihmisiä tummanpuhuvan melodeathinsa pariin. Heinäkuussa 2026 laulaja Mikael Stanne joukkoineen nähdään ensimmäistä kertaa Viikissä CoolHead Brew -panimon jättiterassilla. Liput keikalle ovat nyt myynnissä alk. 45€ (sis pvm)!
Ennen Dark Tranquillityä lavalle nousee kotimaan kovimpiin ja kehutuimpiin melodisen death metalin yhtyeisiin lukeutuva Horizon Ignited, joka julkaisi kolmannen albuminsa “Tides” viime vuonna. Illan avaa muun muassa Wacken Metal Battlen finaalissa mainetta niittänyt progepommi Numento.
Heinäkuussa 2026 jo kuudetta kertaa järjestettävä CoolHead Live -konserttisarja tuo Helsingin Viikin luonnonsuojelualueen kupeeseen kaksiviikkoisen musiikin, auringonpaisteen, pienpanimo-oluen ja ruoan juhlan. Trooppisen puutarha Gardenian uniikkiin ympäristöön kohoavalla, jopa toistatuhatta henkeä vetävällä tapahtuma-alueella nähdään heinäkuussa monipuolinen sekoitus kotimaisia ja ulkomaisia artisteja. Konsertit järjestää Gardenian tiloissa majaansa pitävä helsinkiläinen CoolHead Brew -pienpanimo yhteistyössä ohjelmatoimisto Nahka Agencyn kanssa.

- The Swedish godfathers of melodic death metal will play a full headline show at CoolHead Brew’s live terrace in Helsinki on Thursday 9th July 2026
- Finnish up-and-comers Horizon Ignited and Numento confirmed as special guests
We’re proud to welcome Dark Tranquillity, Swedish melodic death metal legends, formed in 1989, to headline CoolHead Live’s Thursday 9th of July 2026. The show will take place at microbrewery CoolHead Brew’s huge live terrace, which has hosted many metal bands in previous years, including Ihsahn, SepticFlesh, Beast in Black and Soen. The venue, located right on the edge of one of Helsinki’s biggest nature trails, can host a crowd of up to 1,500 people. The rest of this year’s CoolHead Live concerts will be announced shortly.
Dark Tranquillity will take the stage as the day’s headliners and will be accompanied by great local talent. Melodic death metal unit Horizon Ignited released their third album “Tides” to great praise in 2025. The band, known for their melodies and guitar-driven songs, are among the most-talked about new groups out there. Opening the night are progressive melodic death metalers Numento, who have impressed audiences in Finland and beyond by taking the 2nd place at the international finals of Wacken Metal Battle in 2025.
For the 6th year running, CoolHead Live brings a 2-week festival of live music, sunshine, craft beer and food to the Viikki neighbourhood in Helsinki, Finland. Organized in the backyard of a unique former tropical garden, the 1,500 capacity open air venue hosts a total of 8 concerts of various genres in the first weeks of July. The shows are promoted by CoolHead Brew in collaboration with Nahka Agency.
