Join us for our monthly conversation highlighting Indiana’s rich African American heritage. This month, we’re honored to welcome Kisha Tandy, Curator of Social History at the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites, for her presentation: "For Our Own People": Mutual Aid and Banking.
Together, we’ll explore the history of early African American mutual aid societies and financial institutions in Indianapolis from 1900 to 1990—highlighting the community networks that built self-reliance, and support.
