The Fort Worth Camera School presents a new series. Control the Light: A Three-Part Lighting Experience, a comprehensive and hands-on experience designed to elevate your understanding of light.
This is a three class workshop! You can pick and choose which classes you would like to attend based off of your interests. However, class space is limited!
You will learn the simple techniques to get started using off camera flash and we'll begin by making sense of transmitters, stands & modifiers (umbrellas, soft boxes, etc). Then, we will demonstrate & show you just how easy & effective using one light setup for off camera flash can be for your photo sessions. Ready to take control of your lighting? This is a dynamic, three-part experience designed to transform how you see and use light.
Class series outdoor studio session:
This 3-hour outdoor session focuses on blending strobe lighting with natural light to create balanced, dynamic images on location. You’ll learn how to use off-camera flash alongside available light, controlling exposure, direction, and quality to enhance your subject while maintaining a natural feel. Topics include balancing ambient light, using modifiers outdoors, and adapting to changing conditions. Perfect for photographers ready to take their lighting skills beyond the studio and into real-world environments. Location will be emailed prior to the event. Triggers, lighting, and other tools will be provided!
What to bring: Camera, charged battery, memory card, and note taking supplies.
