The community-building contra dance vibe encourages inviting new partners to dance throughout the evening; you'll make a few new friends!
📍 Location
First Lutheran Church
1311 Holman St
Houston Tx 77004.
🅿️ There are two parking lots. One is at the corner of Holman and Austin, and the other is at the corner of Caroline and Francis. If they are full, street parking is free after 6:00pm every day.
🚂 Near the Red Line (Ensemble train stop).
Remember to hide your valuables before you arrive.
👞 Dress comfortably! Skirts and dresses are fun to twirl in, but you'll also see dancers wearing jeans/shorts and a T-shirt. You will get a cardio workout, how intense is up to you! We recommend smooth bottom, short/no heel shoes with backs. Athletic shoes are fine, but you will be twirling and twisting, and that can hurt your knees if you have sticky soles.
