This event is open to everyone looking to make new friends. Whether you are a seasoned contra expert or entirely new, our inclusive and welcoming atmosphere will have you twirling and swinging in no time. No partner? No problem! We encourage everyone to change partners and meet fellow dance enthusiasts.
Admission is $5, but your first lesson is FREE! Teens are free WITH a paying adult.
Bring a water bottle and dress for cardio.
6:30 Beginner lesson (everyone can join)
All dances in the beginner session are taught step-by-step with several walk-throughs before the music starts.
8:00 Intermediate/Advanced dancing
Starting at 8:00, expect the full catalog of contra moves. If these dances are a bit more than you're ready to dance, you're still very welcome to listen and enjoy the music and fellowship of the dance community. Don't worry, you'll be dancing in the second half soon enough!
The average attendance is 16 dancers. So don't worry if you only see a couple of people interested on this event page.
Join us at the LASRDF Dance Center. We are 10 minutes from Woodrow, 13 minutes from South Plains Mall, 16 minutes from Wolfforth, 18 minutes from Slaton, 20 minutes from TTU, 21 minute from New Deal, and 24 minutes from Reese.
