Contact Improvisation Winter Intensive with Joerg Hassmann02.-08.01.2027 @EDEN***** Studios Berlin
> LISTENING <
* For experienced contacters
* Max 35 participants
Listening to “what is actually here” can be an extraordinary starting point for whatever we do - and especially for Contact Improvisation.
Listening can reveal assumptions, limiting habits and familiar concepts. It can open doors to staying longer - or leaving sooner, to knowing less, and to finding a softer access to courageous moments.
And yet, we can also get lost in listening. Where is the counterpart? Where is action, intention, desire? What could a constructive mode of doing and wanting look like?
We, Joerg & Dino find it endlessly intriguing how this listening works: how mind, body and heart speak and listen to one another. These questions can be deeply useful even on a very practical level, in exploring how to organise the body while moving, how to respond to weight, direction and momentum, and how these choices affect us on many different layers.
As the waves of Christmas and New Year begin to settle, and before the routines of the new working year fully take hold, there may be a window of space. Perhaps this is the perfect moment to listen to what is already here - beneath the surface, before new plans, intentions and directions begin to emerge.

Dino & Joerg
We have been on a shared journey with CI for over 20 years, during which a deep friendship has grown. In recent years, our focus has developed towards creating frameworks that support group cohesion, vulnerability and personal growth within the practice of CI and we are interested in balancing detailed work with open structures that allow for rich and unpredictable dancing.
We are curious about how to further soften hierarchies and open the space for more collective ownership - while still maintaining clarity, safety, and depth in the work.
