The Conservatory Group Program Showcase is a multi-day event with performances from both youth and adult students studying at the University of Regina Conservatory of Performing Arts.
Performances for DAY 1 (Sunday, November 29) will include the following (in performance order):
The Conservatory Pipe Band will be showcasing their pipes and drums loud and proud! Be prepared for both familiar and unfamiliar tunes as we transport you to Scotland with a variety of traditional and new repertoire with Regina's only youth pipe band. This group is led by Iain MacDonald, with teaching support from Barbara MacDonald, Laura Schmeling, and Pat Luchenski.
The Conservatory Jazz Combo is an auditioned small jazz ensemble for teens looking to expand their knowledge and skills in jazz musicianship. The group will be presenting a selection of jazz standards and showing off their newly developed improvisation skills. The combo is directed by Trent Reschny.
There will be a short intermission between groups just to reset the stage.
Tickets are $8.40 in advance and $10.50 at the door, inclusive of fees and taxes. Seating is not assigned. Tickets can be purchased from the Darke Hall Box Office (306-523-2751) or online by using the "Find Tickets" link in this event.
