About this Event
Join the Ranger Service for a morning of 'beating up' on the tree saplings that have been planted in the last couple of years. Beating up involves checking on any saplings that haven't survived, replacing broken tubes and stakes, and clearing out tree tubes from any grasses and weeds. There will be opportunity to replant saplings depending on how many need replaced.
The session will start at 10:30am and run for 2 hours. The meeting place is the Korean War Memorial car park, and it will be a roughly 10 minute walk to the sapling site.
All tools and a full tool safety talk will be provided by the Ranger. If you have some, please bring along a pair of gloves with you, and wear appropriate clothing for the weather. Good sturdy footwear is also advised. Please bring along any snacks and drinks you require. No prior experience is necessary to take part in the sessions, new volunteers are always welcome!
