XI has been a defining figure in the landscape of electronic music in North America.

Starting in 2006 Christian Andersen began to make his mark as ‘XI’ heralding the coming storm of Dubstep music in Canada, hosting the seminal Subtrac parties in Toronto and paving the way for Dubstep and Bass Music to take root in North America.

He would go on to release records on legendary labels like Hotflush Recordings and Lo Dubs as well as perform at festivals such as MUTEK, WMC and Bass Coast and other legendary party series like Dub War in NYC and Low End Theory in LA, sharing stages with acts like Distinct Motive, The Prodigy and Pendulum and embarking on massive tours with the likes of Zeds Dead and Araabmuzik.

As a collaborator with prolific artist Adam Marshall under the moniker Graze he was nominated for Best Electronic Music Album of the year at the 2014 JUNO Awards and released on Dekmantel’s UFO imprint as well as a host of records on their home label of New Kanada.

XI is one of Canada’s living legends of bass music and has been a pivotal figure in the scene, pushing the boundaries of style and genre with celebrated side-projects Ultragamma and Crushfield.

XI has recently returned to his roots with Dubstep at the forefront of his work. Returning to the genre with the self-released Deepcut EP, the Thug Magik EP, Partydun EP on Lo Dubs and Dreadnaught on Erie Sounds and with the support of many of the scene’s most exciting artists he is set to make his mark on Dubstep again in 2026 and beyond.

TOPAZ

Hailing from the capital of the north, TOPAZ has been sculpting his sound for nearly a decade, and he continues to innovate with each release. Known for his genre blending style of cutting edge sound design and organic atmospheric melodies, his music is sure to catch any curious ear.

His passion for music is matched by his passion for the community around it, and TOPAZ has been a staple community builder and event promoter in the nation's capital being a founder with the Undercover collective as well as a team lead for Midnight Forever Music festival.

MAJOR VENUE RULES

No smoking or vaping in the club or courtyard. There are spots on the street past the courtyard to smoke or vape. As this is City of Ottawa property, the fire alarm is connected to the Arts Court building and the condos.

No outside drinks or illegal substances of any kind are allowed inside (empty reusable waterbottles are highly encouraged !).

CONSCIOUS WAVE NOTES

Three of our event staff are trained in First Aid, Harm Reduction, Party Safer, Bystander Intervention & more. If you are feeling unwell, feel unsafe, see something, need support or someone to talk to, please notify anyone from the team, security or venue to get one of us for you.

Do not be shy.

We encourage you to bring earplugs, consume responsibly and within your limits, respect yourself and others. We also ask that you to respect everyone's personal space on the dancefloor. We will have some earplugs on hand for you in case you forget yours, as well as other harm reduction supplies.

There is absolutely zero tolerance for racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, sexual harassment, violence or discrimination of any kind.
