💗 The Story Behind Connie’s Closet at Haute Headz Salon & Spa
Connie’s Closet was created in loving memory of my mom, Connie.
My mom was a single, working mother without support from my biological father. She worked multiple jobs to provide for us, and looking back, I know there were many times she went without so that I could have what I needed. And even then, there were still plenty of things we simply did without.
I know there are women in our community living that same story today.
They are working moms, single moms, and women doing everything they can to keep their families going—but sometimes, even when you’re working hard, life gets tough and you could simply use a hand up.
That is who Connie’s Closet is for.
We are asking our Haute Headz family, friends, clients, and community to look outside of yourselves and think about the women around you. Maybe it’s a coworker, neighbor, friend, employee, client, or a mom you see struggling quietly. Someone who is working hard but could use a little extra support, encouragement, and joy.
Each woman selected for Connie’s Closet will have the opportunity to choose:
* 3 outfits
* 1 pair of shoes
* 1 handbag
And at the end of the event, we will hold a special drawing for one lucky lady to receive a hair makeover, free of charge, from Haute Headz Salon & Spa. We’ll create a look that makes her feel beautiful and confident while keeping maintenance and affordability in mind.
This isn’t about a handout. It’s about a hand up. It’s about reminding a woman who spends so much of her life taking care of everyone else that she matters too.
We will be providing QR codes/tickets that you can personally give to women you believe could benefit from Connie’s Closet. Please help us reach the women who may never ask for help themselves.
If my mom were still here, I know she would understand exactly what these women are going through.
So in Connie’s memory, let’s help another woman feel seen, supported, confident, and cared for.
