Their collaboration began in 2004 during McElheny’s artist residency at the Wexner Center for the Arts and has explored connections between contemporary art, astronomy, and scientific inquiry. On the occasion of his solo exhibition Tavares Strachan: The Day Tomorrow Began at The Pizzuti, Strachan will reflect on the historical undercurrents that shape contemporary moments. The conversation will center on The Encyclopedia of Invisibility, including its exploration of Matthew Henson, histories of exploration, and questions of visibility and recognition.
