About this Event
Looking for a creative hobby, keen to build your sewing skills, or simply fancy an evening away from the screen? Join us for a relaxed, welcoming sewing workshop where you'll create your very own tote bag while learning techniques that will help you tackle future sewing projects with confidence.
This workshop is perfect for those who have used a sewing machine before and are ready to take the next step. You don't need to be an experienced sewer—just comfortable with the very basics of using a machine. If you've done one of my beginners classes before this is suited to you. With small class sizes and plenty of guidance throughout, you'll be supported every step of the way.
Together we'll make a stylish tote bag with a boxed base, giving you the chance to learn how to create depth and shape in a project. You'll also learn how to attach and reinforce straps for a strong, professional-looking finish—skills that you'll be able to use again and again in future sewing projects.
One of the best parts? You'll be able to choose from a selection of fabrics, making your finished tote bag completely unique to you.
All materials are included, including fabric, thread and use of a sewing machine. If you already own a sewing machine, you're very welcome to bring it along so you can become more familiar with the machine you'll be using at home.
This isn't just about making a tote bag—it's about growing your confidence, developing practical sewing skills and enjoying the satisfaction of creating something with your own hands. Whether you're hoping to make more projects at home, begin sewing your own accessories, or simply spend an evening being creative with like-minded people, we'd love to welcome you.
