How are digital tools and AI transforming the ways we document, preserve, interpret and share industrial heritage?
Through a programme of talks, round tables and demonstrations, Digital Future for Industrial Heritage? will bring together researchers, heritage professionals and cultural institutions to exchange perspectives, share experiences and explore new approaches.

9:00 a.m. – Welcome and opening
9:15 a.m. – Keynote lecture
Marinos Ioannides – Digital Cultural Heritage
10:00 a.m. – Panel 1: Retrieving and Using Digital Data of Industrial Heritage
Digitisation, collection, structuring and reuse of data relating to industrial heritage.
11:30 a.m. – Panel 2: Visualization of (Industrial) Heritage
3D digitisation, modelling, visualisation and new approaches to presenting and interpreting heritage.
1:30 p.m. – Round-table discussion: AI & (Industrial) Heritage
How can artificial intelligence be used in the heritage sector? What opportunities, limitations and questions does its development raise?
3:00 p.m. – Panel 3: Digital Mediation of (Industrial) Heritage
Short presentations of projects exploring new forms of heritage interpretation, experience and engagement through digital technologies.
4:00 p.m. – Closing remarks
Coffee breaks and lunch will also be provided during the day.
