About this Event
"Have you seen my love?" the expectant lover asks, standing on the shore at the sea of Vigo in anxious anticipation of their love's arrival. It is a familiar theme, unbound by time or place, and one which resonates for us today as much as it did centuries ago. Join Concordian Dawn as we show our love for medieval songs of love, desire, disappointment, and fulfillment. Featuring Martin Codax's "Cantigas de Amigo," after which the concert is titled, alongside troubadour and trouvère songs of fin'amors and selections from the French and Italian ars nova, this multilingual celebration of love will lift your spirits and leave you warm-hearted.
