The format of the evening:
- An intimate "in-the-round" with Kate Stephens and two spotlight songwriters
- Kate Stephens headliner set.
Kate Stephens is also hosting a Songwriting Workshop the night before (See our other events) - additional ticket needed for the Songwriting Workshop event.
The Rocky Mountain Listening Room is a music venue that appreciates music by offering a listening environment to artists. (Think quiet like an art gallery!).
Kate Stephens
Kate Stevens is a Calgary-born singer, songwriter, and storyteller with a voice that feels both timeless and brand new.
Drawing from her love of early R&B and weaving in funk, rock, and soul, Kate creates music that’s heartfelt, groovy, and unmistakably her own. Her songs invite listeners into the snapshots of her life; moments of heartbreak, friendship, and the kind of love that Lingers.
Along the way, Kate has earned recognition with multiple songwriting awards (including seven YYC Music Awards), performed on stages from the Calgary Folk Music Festival tot he Bella Concert Hall, and shared bills with artists like Leon Bridges and Jim Cuddy.
Beyond the stage, Kate champions local music as the host of The Upload on CKUA Radio,where she spotlights emerging voices and helps shape Alberta’s vibrant
