For Ukraine - a lunchtime concert at Malmesbury Abbey Saturday 7 November 1pm to 2pm A special performance by three members of the Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra, joined by local Ukrainian choirs Berehynia and Wild Bloom, plus the choir of St Joseph's Catholic Primary School. Entrance is free but donations are welcome. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of a contrabasson for one of the orchestra's members Ivan Meleta who sustained shrapnel injuries to his arms and legs while defending Ukraine against the Russian invasion. He suffered two fractures in one leg and lost a finger on his right hand. The contrabassoon is a rare instrument and will be speciallly adapted for him.
