All year, CONA meetings have explored the building blocks of strong neighborhoods — from placemaking and grants to membership, traditions, and community identity. This month, we’re bringing those conversations together.
The City of St. Petersburg’s Neighborhood Relations team will join CONA to introduce their new team and staffing structure and help neighborhood leaders understand who to call, where to start, and how the City can help turn neighborhood ideas into action.
We’ll talk about resources available to neighborhood associations, including:
• The $1,000 Mini-Grant Program
• The $20,000 Matching Grant Program
• Practical support such as door-hanger printing
• Connections to City departments, programs, and services
We’ll also hear an update on proposed changes to the City’s neighborhood sign program and efforts to make it easier for neighborhoods to strengthen their identity and sense of place.
Whether you’re a longtime neighborhood leader, new to your association, or simply interested in getting more involved, you’re welcome to join us.
