Looking for a warm welcome, a friendly face, and a proper catch-up? Come along to Companion Club!
Companion Club is a small, friendly social group for older people in the community. Everyone is genuinely welcome, whether you come along on your own or bring a friend or family member with you.
We meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month for a couple of hours of gentle activities, good company, and of course, coffee and cake. Nothing too fast-paced or overwhelming – just things you can dip in and out of and enjoy at your own pace. Past sessions have included arts and crafts, quizzes, and seasonal projects – one of our favourites so far was a scrapbooking session using vintage magazines, with music playing and people bringing along their own vinyl records to share.
Our little tagline is "More than just coffee" and that really is the heart of it. It's not really about the activity of the day, it's about having somewhere to belong, a routine to look forward to, and some proper human connection.
