The Community Walk is back - this time with St Petrocks!Raising money for St Petrocks, this year's walk totals 12km to raise awareness of the the average distance covered by those experiencing homelessness in one day - 12 miles.
Proudly sponsored by Exeter College and Willmott Dixon, and supported by Exeter City Council, every entrant will receive a t-shirt, pasty, pint and match ticket to the first Gallagher PREM home match of the season, Chiefs v Gloucester, with the walk finishing at Sandy Park in time for kick-off.
Last year’s walk attracted entries from 74 participants and raised more than £7,000 for the Foundation - this year, we're aiming for even more participants!
The Exeter Chiefs Foundation’s chairman Tony Rowe CBE said: “It would be great to see more participants take part in this year’s walk. It’s open to all ages and abilities and is an opportunity to enjoy strolling through the fresh air in the natural environment around our city. All the funds raised from this walk will go towards St Petrock’s an Exeter-based charity working on behalf of people experiencing homelessness.”
