About this Event
以茶代酒 / yi cha dai jiu / Using tea as a substitute for alcohol
以茶会友 / yi cha hui you / Using tea to make new friends
For many people who are not huge fans of alcohol or don't drink for a variety of reasons , it can be hard to find non-alcoholic venues to meet people for a drink, which still serve adult beverages in an intimate and authentic atmosphere. With Community Tea Bar, we want to change that!
How it works: Your tea host -- aka one of our wonderful staff members -- will be brewing up a selection of 3-4 teas in a casual, community-style tea bar. Together, we will drink through one tea at a time, with multiple rounds of infusions. $15 gets you a spot at the table + your first tea (including multiple rounds of infusions), whenever you arrive. After that, you're welcome to head out or stay for a new tea. Each new tea is another $15. Think more informal and less like a class than a tea tasting (although questions about the tea are always welcome)! Come for one tea, stay for three. Come with a friend, or come make three. 😊
📆 Thursdays in October & November, 3:30-5:00 pm (you're welcome to arrive anytime 3:30-4:30 pm)
📍 Our tea room: 245 Main St, 12th floor, Cambridge, 02142
Cancellation policy: If you need to cancel, please communicate this with us at least 48 hours before the event start time and we will be happy to give you refund in the form of store credit. Unfortunately, cancellations made within 48 hours of the event start time will not be eligible for a refund.
