Join the University of Wyoming College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Visual Arts, on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 6:30 p.m. for a screening of MADE IN THE WEST. A panel discussion will follow the film. In a world of fast fashion and fast furniture, Western functional art takes us back to a different era, a time when Americans had to make what they needed themselves. MADE IN THE WEST offers an overview of Western art: why and how it came about, the value to creators and consumers, and the danger of losing it.
This screening will be held in the Visual Arts Auditorium (room VA111) in the Visual Arts Building at the University of Wyoming. The Visual Arts Building is located at 22nd Street and Willet Drive. The event is free and open to the public.
MADE IN THE WEST was co-produced by Wyoming PBS and Nashville PBS.
