🎬 Free Community Screening: "The Librarians"Join the Chatham-Kent Public Library during Ontario Public Library Week for a free screening of the Emmy Award-winning documentary "The Librarians."
📅 Tuesday, October 7
🕖 7:00 pm
📍 Chatham Capital Theatre
This powerful documentary explores the growing wave of book challenges and bans across North America, highlighting the librarians, community members, and young readers standing up for intellectual freedom and the freedom to read.
"The Librarians" is both a cautionary tale and an inspiring call to action, told through the personal experiences of those on the front lines defending access to books and ideas.
A special thank you to our community partners, Chatham Capital Theatre and the Rotary Club of Chatham, whose support made it possible to secure the screening rights and offer this event free of charge to the community.
🍿 Concessions will be available for purchase, including popcorn, drinks, and treats.
Admission is free. Everyone is welcome.
