So we’ve been talking to our neighbours - as we do. We’ve heard people are feeling really good about the park, the little library, the, amazing this year, community garden, and little food pantry -we are feeling more connected BUT concerns exist around safety. How to keep each other safe? Keep ourselves safe? How to support each other? What to do when a conflict escalates? What about kids involved? How do we collectively organize? Is a Neighbourhood Watch a good strategy? How do we keep our community safe? How do we address our real issues without giving in to rumour and speculation, but focus on community building and community for all? Join us Oct. 13th at Prince Edward Learning Centre at 5:30 p.m. Join us for a free dinner, and stay to meet with OPP Constable Alexandre LEBEL on community safety. It’s a great chance to bring our concerns out in the open and to rally around change in our community.
