Community Prenatal & Postpartum Yoga and Movement with Janet Persson Come as you are. Connect with your body and baby. Leave feeling grounded, strong, supported, and empowered.
About this Event

A mindful, all-levels prenatal and postpartum yoga class rooted in Anusara-inspired alignment, breath, and the connection of body, mind, and spirit.

Designed to support the changing body through pregnancy and the transition into postpartum, each class weaves together intentional movement, strength, stability, nervous system awareness, and space to slow down and connect within.

Inspired by the five elements - Space, Earth, Water, Fire, and Air - our practice explores creating space, finding your foundation, moving with fluidity, connecting to your inner strength, and returning to the breath.

Come as you are. Connect with your body and baby. Leave feeling grounded, strong, supported, and empowered.

Janet brings an integrative background that weaves together prenatal yoga, birth education, somatic work, and hands-on support.

She is a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) through Ma Yoga®, rooted in Anusara Yoga and the alignment of body, mind, and spirit. Her studies include The Yoga of Pregnancy, The Yoga of Healing, Mayurveda, and The Yoga of Birth. She is continuing her advanced studies toward becoming a Prenatal Teacher Trainer while completing her certification as a Lactation Specialist.

As a CAPPA-trained Childbirth Educator and DONA-trained Birth and Postpartum Doula, Janet supports families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and early parenthood with evidence-based knowledge and intuitive care. Her approach is further grounded in over 10 years of somatic work, bringing an understanding of the emotional and nervous system aspects of this transition.

Janet brings her own lived experience of pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and motherhood alongside her professional training, creating a space rooted in both knowledge and genuine understanding.

She is especially passionate about creating balance, alignment, and space in the pregnant body to support optimal fetal positioning - having supported families navigating breech presentation, drawing from movement and positioning practices, Spinning Babies®-inspired techniques, the Miles Circuit, moxibustion, breathwork, and visualization to create space for baby while helping parents feel informed and empowered.

As Co-Founder of KLR Collective, a local, women-owned business, Janet works alongside birth and postpartum professionals to provide independent, community-based education and support, including childbirth education, parenthood guidance, Mommy & Me gatherings, and pregnancy and postpartum resources.

Janet is trained in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED, and holds certifications as a Ski Instructor, Children’s Specialist, Lifeguard, and Swim Teacher - reflecting her long-standing commitment to safety, movement, and working with families and children.
