OLLI Mason at George Mason University is inviting community members of all ages to pick up a paintbrush and help create a new public mural celebrating lifelong learning, creativity, and community.The Tree of Learning Community Mural, designed by George Mason alumna and local artist Brianna Camp, will transform a shared gathering space at OLLI Mason’s Tallwood campus into a vibrant celebration of learning and connection. The design features a tree surrounded by imagery inspired by OLLI’s diverse courses, native plants, wildlife, and the natural landscape of the campus.
COMMUNITY PAINT DAYS
October 9 & 11, 2026 | 10 AM - 4 PM (Rain dates: October 16 & 18)
Where: OLLI Mason, 4210 Roberts Road, Fairfax, VA 22032
No artistic experience is necessary. Under Camp’s guidance, participants will paint sections of the mural and help create a lasting piece of community artwork. OLLI members, George Mason students, faculty and staff, neighbors, and community members are all encouraged to participate.
The project offers a unique opportunity for people of different generations and backgrounds to work side by side and leave their mark on a public artwork that will welcome visitors to OLLI Mason.
