Join us for an engaging evening with Heather Voorhees, PhD, Associate Professor of Communication Studies at the University of Montana.
With so many wellness influencers, supplements, miracle cures and breakthroughs begging for our attention every day, it can be hard to understand what is legitimate and what should be ignored. In “Health or Hype? Thinking Critically About Health (mis)Information,” Heather will explore how to recognize health mis-, mal-, and dis information, why it spreads, and how we can respond thoughtfully and respectfully with friends and loved ones. (Hint: it’s not because people are lacking common sense.) All are welcome to this timely and practical conversation.
