About this Event
Spend an inspiring afternoon of creativity, conversation, and community at Art Day at Stout Irish Pub. Bring your watercolours, paints, sketchbooks, or any artistic practice you’d like to explore in a relaxed and welcoming environment surrounded by fellow artists and neighbours. Whether you’re an experienced painter or simply looking to create for fun, this bi-weekly gathering offers the perfect space to experiment, connect, and unwind.
Facilitated by acclaimed conceptual artist Bonnie Devine, founding chair of OCAD University Indigenous Visual Culture Program, the event is rooted in storytelling, artistic expression, and community connection. With a career spanning more than 30 years, Bonnie’s work has explored Indigenous realities through the stories, technologies, and artistic traditions of the Ojibwa people. A beloved presence in Cabbagetown, Bonnie has cultivated a deeply rooted creative community through these ongoing art gatherings at the Stout Irish Pub, making this event as much about connection and inspiration as it is about art itself.
No art supplies? No worries! Art supplies will be provided at the event. Food and beverages can be purchased separately, and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase on site.
Accessibility: This bar is not wheelchair accessible. There are gendered bathrooms on-site with individual stalls.
