Community style acupuncture is a more affordable and accessible approach to acupuncture that allows multiple people to receive treatment in the same comfortable, welcoming space.
Instead of private treatment rooms, patients are treated in a shared setting. This allows the practitioner to care for several people during the same appointment while still providing individualized acupuncture treatments.
At Happy & Healthy we have flexible seating options including seated on a sofa or chair or laying on a treatment table or mat — not unlike shavasana!
How Does It Work?
When you arrive, you’ll have a brief conversation with the acupuncturist about what you’d like to address. Your practitioner will determine an appropriate treatment based on your individual needs and goals.
Acupuncture needles are typically placed in areas such as the arms, hands, lower legs, feet, ears, and head, allowing you to remain comfortably clothed during treatment.
Once your needles are placed, you can relax, rest, meditate, or simply enjoy some quiet time while your treatment takes effect. Treatments generally last about 25 to 30 minutes.
