About this Event
Welcome to a YCL-hosted Communist Movie Night!
Join us for a special screening of Cuba After Castro, a powerful documentary exploring the resilience of the Cuban people and the ongoing defense of their socialist revolution.
This event is a fundraiser to support the YCL's Cuba solidarity work, such as the upcoming Cuba Brigade. All Pay-What-You-Wish donations go directly to this cause.
Overview:
The film examines how Cuba continues to prioritize healthcare, education, and working-class sovereignty while navigating the relentless pressure of the U.S. economic blockade (el bloqueo). It cuts through mainstream imperialist propaganda to show the lived reality of a society that has chosen human needs over profit for over six decades.
