About this Event
In October 2025 the organization Awaken the Dawn hosted an event on the National Mall called Communion America. They brought 50 states together for continuous worship and prayer for 72 hours. On the final day they gathered at a table the length of the National Mall and people sat down, ate a meal and took communion together to show unity in the midst of division. They have commissioned those wanting to participate to host worship, prayer, and a table September 24th-26th in their own campus, city, or town.
We are believing for a saturation of Culpeper Virginia with the presence of God in public. We will be hosting a tent for 24/7 worship and gospel proclamation that culminates at a communion table with every Christian church represented in Culpeper.
In 1953, Operation Skyglow celebrated the new lights downtown by hosting a world record-breaking banquet table, measuring 1,254 ft, set up directly on Davis Street. They ate a meal at this table to celebrate the first fluorescent lights south of the Mason-Dixie line.
So this is not the first time this has been done, but a table is apart of our town’s history.
As we grow, this gap grows wider. We are all aware that many people are stuck within their own routines of life. We need something greater than just another event. We need to sit down with one another, be vulnerable, and love one another as Christ has loved us. Breaking down barriers by sitting across from someone you may have never considered talking to.
Come to the Table 2026 is a significant citywide gathering that will accommodate and foster that connection and community that we all long for. Everyone wants to belong, to connect and feel connected. We are wanting to target every sphere of life in Culpeper whether it is; religion, family, education, government, media, arts and entertainment or businesses. Our desire is that we would bridge every gap that has been produced by the routines we find ourselves and combat it with family-like connection.
We believe we can be a shining light in Virginia in the midst of the division we face. Let’s bridge this gap together by putting a table in the heart of our own town. You have an opportunity to partner with this historic movement!

Necesitamos algo más que un simple evento; necesitamos sentarnos unos con otros, mostrarnos vulnerables y amarnos tal como Cristo nos ha amado. Se trata de derribar barreras sentándonos frente a alguien con quien quizás nunca hubiéramos pensado hablar.
"Come to the Table 2026" es un importante encuentro a nivel municipal diseñado para propiciar y fomentar esa conexión y sentido de comunidad que todos anhelamos. Todo el mundo desea pertenecer, conectar y sentirse conectado. Queremos llegar a todas las esferas de la vida en Culpeper: religión, familia, educación, gobierno, medios de comunicación, artes y entretenimiento, y el sector empresarial. Nuestro deseo es salvar las distancias creadas por nuestras rutinas y contrarrestarlas mediante vínculos propios de una familia.
