Common Soil community farm and Sladebank Woods are hosting a weekend for all ages with live music, crafts, local food and drink in the beautiful Slad Valley. Come and join us.Saturday 9th May at Common Soil community farm will include:
🎨 Artists supporting you to make your own cyanotype print or to paint with natural paints.
👩🌾 Farm tour (12.15pm).
🪗 Maypole dancing, with live music.
🌱 Plant sale - mature seedlings so you can grow your own food or flowers at home.
🏺 Natural clay harvesting - digging it up from the earth for making pots... the kids will love it!
🍴Veggie BBQ with handmade flatbreads and local produce.
🍂 Composting tutorial - bring all your composting queries.
🏝️ Treasure hunt and outdoor games (have you ever played Viking chess?)
Sunday 10th at Sladebank Woods will include:
🦉 Visit native rescued owls.
🌳 Tree trail and guided walks.
🥁 Musical procession.
🧺 Crafts.
🍕 Wood-fired pitta pizza.
There's no charge to attend on either day and you can just turn up.
