About this Event
The Commercial Horticulture Program offers 2 types of site visits. The first ticket is a general site visit that provides the best recommendations for the landscape, HOA common areas, city parks, and buildings. The visit is scheduled for 60 minutes. The second one is a more detailed educational visit for properties experiencing landscaping issues and needing an evaluation for tree health, plant disease, insect problems, irrigation concerns, soil issues, or any other landscape challenges.
Tickets could also be purchased by Green Industry professionals.
Ticket 1: General Education Site Visit Price: $100
Description
A science-based educational site visit for HOAs, property managers, municipalities, commercial properties, and green industry professionals.
We'll walk your common landscaped areas, discuss your concerns, and provide practical recommendations based on UF/IFAS research.
Includes:
- General landscape evaluation
- Tree and plant health observations
- Irrigation and maintenance recommendations
- Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ guidance
- Answers to your landscape questions
- Follow-up email with relevant UF/IFAS resources (when applicable)
Duration: Approximately 60 minutes
For HOA common areas and other non-private properties only.
Ticket 2: Advanced Diagnostic Site Visit Price: $150
Description
A more detailed educational site visit for properties experiencing specific landscape issues.
Ideal for evaluating tree health, plant diseases, irrigation concerns, soil issues, insect problems, or other landscape challenges. You'll receive science-based recommendations and guidance on possible next steps.
Includes:
- Detailed evaluation of specific concerns
- Tree and plant health observations
- Irrigation and soil assessments
- Pest and disease guidance
- Follow-up email with recommendations and UF/IFAS resources
Duration: Approximately 90 minutes
For HOA common areas, commercial properties, municipalities, and other non-private properties only.
PLEASE NOTE: The site visits do not include collection of soils samples. A soil kit will be provided if necessary, along with instructions.
