Comedy & Cabernet: Comedy Night at Small Batch Cellars
New York comedy comes to North Haven. Join us at Small Batch Cellars for a night of stand-up featuring headliner Al Lubel, comedians Gerald Lee and Peter Vouras, and your emcee, Tommy Tambis.
Bring your friends, grab your favorite pour, and settle in for an evening of unexpected punchlines, spot-on impressions, and plenty of laughs.
HEADLINER: AL LUBEL
David Letterman called him “a terrifically funny comedian,” and his résumé backs it up. A former attorney turned stand-up comic, Al Lubel won the $100,000 Comedy Grand Prize on Star Search and became one of the last comedians to perform on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. He went on to make six appearances with Jay Leno and five on The Late Show with David Letterman.
Known for his dry delivery, inventive wordplay, and wonderfully offbeat observations, Al turns seemingly simple subjects into hilariously unexpected territory. His solo show Mentally Al earned the Amused Moose Judges Prize at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Now, he brings his distinctive brand of comedy to Small Batch Cellars.
GERALD LEE
Jersey born and Brooklyn based, Gerald Lee combines clean comedy with impressions that make audiences do a double take. His first onstage impression at the legendary Boston Comedy Club earned praise from Dave Chappelle himself. A regular in the New York comedy scene, Gerald has performed at the New York Comedy Festival and Soul Joel’s Summer Comedy Festival, and his voice-over work can be heard on morning radio.
PETER VOURAS
You may know Peter as the owner of Freskos, but he’s just as comfortable behind a microphone. A seasoned stand-up comic, Peter has performed in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and New York City. This time, he’s bringing the laughs closer to home.
EMCEE: TOMMY TAMBIS
Tommy Tambis hosts the evening and keeps the show moving from the first introduction to the final set.
