Come learn something. Experience something. Leave with something you can actually use.
About this Event
Once or twice a month, we open the space for community to sit with us, to learn, experience, ask questions, practice, reflect, and be witnessed. Each gathering centers one real question about healing, grief, survival, remembrance, identity, spirituality, community, or becoming. Some months we talk, some months we breathe, some months we make sound, some months we grieve, some months we remember, some months we practice what to do when all the tools are gone and all we have left is ourselves. Yet every session gives you something you can carry beyond the room.
ARRIVE :Come into the room. Come back into yourself.
LEARN: We explore one focused teaching or question together.
RELEASE: The teaching becomes experiential through sound, breath, grounding, meditation, reflection, movement, ancestral remembrance, or another accessible healing practice.
WITNESS: There is room for questions, conversation, reflection, and community witnessing. You are never required to share your personal story.
RETURN: Leave with something practical you can continue using when you get home.
COME SIT is part of our commitment to healing justice: creating access to culturally rooted knowledge, practical healing tools, and collective care without requiring someone to first prove they can afford to receive it. It's about strengthening our capacity to care for ourselves and one another.
You don't have to practice Ifá. You don't have to consider yourself spiritual. You don't have to be a healer. You don't have to be a member of the Ilé. You don't have to already know us. Come curious, come tired, come with open, come needing community, come because the topic speaks to you, or just COME SIT.
