A moving and uplifting musical based on the remarkable true story of 7,000 airline passengers stranded in a small town in Newfoundland in the wake of September 11, 2001—and the community that welcomed them with extraordinary generosity and compassion. Featuring live musicians and produced in collaboration with the SIU School of Music, Come From Away is a powerful celebration of kindness, connection, and our shared humanity.CONTENT ADVISORY: This production deals directly with the events and aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks, including fear, grief, and confusion. It contains mild profanity, including a limited number of uses of the “f-word” and “s-word,” as well as brief innuendo, discussion of a strip search, minor sexual references, and depictions or mentions of alcohol use and drunkenness. Recommended for ages 10 and older. Children under the age of 4 will not be admitted, including babes in arms.
