Axiom Repertory Theatre Presents: Come From Away with Book, Music and Lyrics by IRENE SANKOFF and DAVID HEIN. Original Broadway Production Produced by Junkyard Dog Productions. Orchestrations by August Eriksmoen. Arrangements by Ian Esidendrath.Directed by Ken Hill
Based on the remarkable true events of September 11, 2001, Come From Away tells the story of 7,000 airline passengers who were unexpectedly stranded in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, when U.S. airspace was closed. As people from around the world suddenly found themselves far from home, the residents of Gander opened their hearts, homes, and community to complete strangers. Through kindness, humor, and resilience, both the townspeople and the "come from aways" discover the power of human connection during a time of uncertainty.
COME FROM AWAY is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com
