As the Wheel of the Year turns once more, we arrive at Yule, the Winter Solstice, the longest night and shortest day of the year. This sacred time marks the turning point when the darkness begins to give way to the returning light.
Yule is a season of hope, renewal, warmth, and new beginnings. We gather to honor the rebirth of the Sun, celebrate the promise of brighter days ahead, and remember that even in the darkest moments, the light within us never truly goes out.
Join us as we gather in sacred space for a Temple of Witchcraft–based ritual to honor Yule and the turning of the Wheel. Through guided ritual, intention, and community connection, we will celebrate the returning light, release the old year, welcome new possibilities, and empower our hopes and intentions for the year ahead.
The rituals will be led by an Official Celebrant of the Temple of Witchcraft Pisces Ministry and Ordained Ministers of the Temple of Witchcraft, with the help of St. Louis, MO Teachers of the Temple of Witchcraft, graduates, students, and others in the community.
Ritual is led by High Priestess of the Temple of Witchcraft, Kelley Ross.
During this magical evening we will:
• Cast a sacred circle and honor the spirits of the Four Directions.
• Celebrate the Winter Solstice and the rebirth of the Sun.
• Honor the darkness as a time of rest, reflection, and transformation.
• Release what we are ready to leave behind as we close out the year.
• Welcome the returning light with a beautiful Yule blessing.
• Raise energy together for hope, peace, prosperity, healing, and new beginnings.
• Set intentions for the coming year and welcome the possibilities ahead.
• Share cakes and cider in celebration of the season and our magickal community.
Yule reminds us that the darkest night is also the turning point toward the light. Nature teaches us that rest is necessary, that every season has its purpose, and that new beginnings often start quietly, long before we see them take shape.
As we gather in the warmth of our community, we celebrate the light that shines within each of us. We honor the past, embrace the present, and welcome the promise of a new year filled with hope, love, and possibility.
